About Sabine
Sabine van Terwisga grew up in an artistic family and was immersed in painting from an early age. Her father taught her to look at the smallest details and deeper dimensions, and introduced her to a range of painting techniques. Her grandfather, the renowned technical illustrator and designer Rudolf Das, was also a great source of inspiration; it was in his studio that Sabine created her first works.
Her talent for painting lay dormant in head and heart for a long time, but it has now revealed itself, and she lets her hands do the talking. Up close, Sabine's work appears abstract, yet from a distance it reveals, almost razor-sharp, the versatility of what is painted. Each piece is a unique observation painted in many colours, in perfect harmony and balance. Sabine paints with acrylic on large canvases, a technique that also allows her to give a work relief.
